Graham Alexander completed his training as a clinical psychologist at the University of Cape Town in 1995, while contributing to the development of the first short-admission eating disorders unit in South Africa. The following year he became director of the Kenilworth Clinic Eating Disorder Unit that he helped develop, while remaining in private practice at the same clinic. In 2002 he moved the unit to Crescent Clinic, where he holds the same position to date. Graham has served as provincial chair on the National Eating Disorders Co-ordinating Committee. Since its inception, he has been the consultant clinical psychologist on the multidisciplinary team of the Chrysalis Clinic. He has appeared on numerous radio and television programmes relating to eating disorders and regularly contributes to newspaper and magazine articles.
